Our Premarital Counseling options give couples the opportunity to develop a strong relationship foundation of trust and connection as they prepare for the commitment of marriage.
Engagement is such an exciting time in a couple’s life, but we also know it can come with added stressors, tension, and many questions in the midst of the joy. To assist you in preparation for this next phase in your relationship, we offer 3 options for pre-marital counseling:
Standard counseling: This option involves meeting with one of our premarital therapists in a typical counseling manner. Each session is 50 minutes to an hour long, and you can schedule as many or as few sessions as you would like.
Silver Package: This package includes 5 sessions of couples counseling and a Prepare/Enrich (P/E) Assessment. The P/E Assessment is a tool used to measure your strengths and areas of growth as a couple. Your counselor then uses the assessment results as a guide for your sessions.
Preparing for Marriage (PFM) Workshop: Lisa Watts, LCSW, one of our premarital counselors, leads this all-day workshop in which several couples come together to explore various facets of marriage. Examples of topics discussed include communication, financial partnership, family, intimacy, and conflict resolution. While much of the workshop is in a group setting, during the workshop couples will have an opportunity to meet with our premarital counselor one-on-one.
